*Question posted on the Developers thread.*
How many Fox cycles before a call is dropped from the queue? That could
help to make a couple calls, pause then a couple more, etc.
*Below from Uwe (DG2YCB), a WSJTx Developer, about the posted question.*
You will be dropped from the queue after 5 Fox cycles. As before with our
old-style F/H operation, the SuperFox will send you *up to 3 "RR73"* messages.
But your callsign is then kept in the queue for* 2 more cycles*, meaning
that if the (Super)Fox then hears your "R-XY" again he will send you up to
two more RR73 replies. So you always have *3+2* chances.
Then there are two possible cases:
*Case A: *You are in the Fox log (but still haven't heard his RR73). Then
the Fox no longer sees your messages, because no messages of stations are
displayed which are already in the log on that band. Unless it is a
SuperFox and has activated our new “Allow Dupes” option. Then the SuperFox
would see your calling again after about 2.5 minutes at the earliest.
*Case B:* You are *not* in the Fox log. The Fox (or SuperFox) would then
see you calling again in any case, but as before your messages will be
displayed to him at the earliest after approx. 2.5 minutes. By the way,
this time results from internal processes related to the two queues.

*Now we know exactly how it works. *
