That’s definitely the true DX spirit! Getting it done no matter what.
Hy-gain is among several who have done some dodgy things and I’m glad you
got it figured out. Changes in Element taper, boom corrections, different
element mounting schemes, etc, have cost DX’ers a lot of db. I bought YO
(yagi optimizer) many years ago and it has saved me several times.
