[ADXA] CW contest report

I haven't done a BIC report in awhile. I did work the contest just a
little this weekend, chasing new band counters. I've also chased the CB0
and 8R expeditions.

I tried with 8R7X on 160 but didn't get through. I have them on all other
bands except 40. Every time I hear them there, the signal is weaker than
it should be and they are working just EU. Obviously, I need to pay more
attention and catch 40 at the right time. All CW, except for 10, which was
digital.

I have the CB0's on all bands except 160. This is about half CW, half
digital.

I worked ZF5T on 160, and 20, 15, and 10.

In the contest, I worked 18 new band counters, all on 160, 80, and 40
except for a couple of DU's on 10M. Apparently I'm going to have to work
harder to get confirmation of DU unless one of these comes thru with Lotw.
Spots, at least from the sources I look at, are just about useless. The
old fashioned way of turning the dial worked best for me.

ND7K made over 6000 Q's in the DX contest - from Arizona!!

My Challenge total went from 1478 to 1487, so when I go through the little
stack of physical QSL cards, I'll easily blow through 1500.

One interesting thing is that I have 84 on 80 meters. I should be able to
get to 100 without much trouble and that would give me 5BDXCC plus all the
WARC bands, so DXCC on every band except 160 and 6. I have 8 on 80M that I
have uploaded to Lotw that haven't matched yet, but it's early and I'm sure
a few will. Then I'll see what else needs to be done. Most of them are
common Europeans, and surely VP2MER will have a good QSL route. Fingers
crossed for CX5C. I'll get a confirmation one way or another. CX's and
CP's have been difficult for me to confirm.

DX IS!
