I think Chuck was about 2 miles away (via short path)! Sunnye and I were in Fayetteville for one of our G-Son’s graduation from UofA. We rented a VRBO to have room for family from Texas. Most of the entourage headed home about noon Sunday. I found a place to hang a EFHW and spent a couple of hours QRP/CW with my KX3. Worked a number of KL7 stations and one JA. Antenna was low and on terrain sloping down to NW. About 70 Qs total. Heard W5JAY once but we were both S&P at the time. I always enjoy the 10M Contest…even QRP/Portable.

Pat, W5VY

So I did a HP/CW/Unlimited entry & had a great time. Ended up finishing with 1386 contacts. Worked ADXA members K5DB, K5VR, W5SJ, N5EE, WA5BDU, W5KI, K5UZ & ZF5T/N5DX who appears to have won the whole thing in the mixed mode entry. Kevin gave an interesting contrast on the 3830 site comparing this year to his field day type ZF operation from 2014.
Best DX worked was W5VY/qrp in Fayetteville & 3W9A who I worked two minutes before the contest ended Sunday evening. W5JAY is in the doghouse for getting on & not calling me.

Even if you've only logged about 35ish voice contacts...but had fun for a couple hours none the less...asking for a friend! ;)
