[ADXA] Nicholas Bacon, NI5QQH

Pat and I were attending the 2024 International EME Conference. I flew back yesterday and he and Sunnye are driving.

 

This was a BIG DOG conference, we didn’t have time to go elsewhere and spend with people who pee like a puppy.

Yeah, I facebook with Mrs. Patterson... She said they are somewhere in New Jersey.

I told her to tell Pat to holler at N2RJ,as She is a friend of Rick's.

i haven't heard back from either of them. Maybe they are just busy looking at sculptures in museums & stuff she likes.

Some days you wake up to some very great news, quite a pleasure in today’s society. ADXA VP W5VY is traveling and unable to update the ADXA standings at the moment but he did copy me on an email that has brought a smile to my face well beyond what coffee did this morning.

 

Those of you who attended our ADXA annual conference last year met Nicholas Bacon, KI5QQH, the grandson of Charles and Debbie McKenzie, KF5TL and KI5QQG respectively. Nicholas is now among the BIG DOG full ADXA members having confirmed 100 countries and achieving DXCC! Nicholas is 12 years old !!!!!!!

 

His sister Ithyca, KI5OQS who you also met at last year’s conference is currently at 95 confirmed and awaiting some confirmations. She is just shy of 100 for a very good reason. After scoring a 32 (yes a 32!!!) on her ACT and receiving an ARRL Scholarship she is now off to college.

 

It would appear the grand prize IC-7300 from last year’s conference is getting a good workout at their station!

 

So, here’s the ADXA question of the day; Is Nicholas the youngest ADXA member to have achieved DXCC??
