[ADXA] rotator clarification

Not that it’s a big deal, but I posted earlier about my main rotator no
longer indicating. I have been using the K5UR method of counting seconds
while rotating. It will get fixed before long.
The one I referred to more recently is a very old Ham-M that was on a short
tower used for VHF only.
Two of the 8 control wires do not have continuity. I’m going to try to
find the break but I also figured out a “lazy” fix. I have an Alliance
HD-73 rotor that only needs 6 wires. The two motor wires are fine, so I
could run that rotator with the cable as it is. The motor is near ground
level so swapping would be easy. I’m curious about what happened to the
cable, though.
N5J was on 40 CW with a heck of a pileup. I’m pleased to see a LOT of CW
activity.
