Curious to know how you guys know when a country is a new one on a particular band. I use N1MM for logging and have LOTW.
I went into LOTW and downloaded an ADIF file for QSLs received through LOTW and then imported it into N1MM. I’m not sure what it does with duplicates. Those may be the reason LOTW shows 132,000 QSL records but N1MM only has 71,000 QSOs after I imported the file?
I have not researched how Club Log can be used to provide benefit?
The last time I might have had significant files to load into LOTW for K5GO QSOs may have been about 10-12 years ago. I don’t know where my paper logs are and doubt that I would ever take the time to make those digital but maybe someday if I ever run across those logbooks I could just go through them and enter the good ones or ones that would be new ones on one band or another.
I have a radio set up at my home in Siloam Springs and am thinking about building a duo band 17/12 Yagi and putting up a dipole for 30 meters. Having zero QSOs on any of those bands, it would provide some entertainment since almost everything would be new for some period of time.
First things first, though. My next project is to shunt feed my tower for 160 and 80 meters. I have antennas for 40, 20, 15, 10, 6.
Living in town with line noise and no room for decent receive antennas isn’t ideal but I’m having some fun with it anyway.
At one time I had a beacon running at ZF9CW. I brought the rig (Radio Shack HTX-100) home last time I was there and am going to put it on 28299.5 sometime soon. If it wipes 10m out I’ll try to find another location to put it on.
I really enjoy looking at the spots from the Skimmer I set up at ZF9CW. I have about a 15 foot piece of aluminum tubing for an antenna with 350 feet of RG6. The NCDXF ranks all the Skimmer stations according to how many of their beacons were spotted each day and how many total beacon spots. I’m almost always in the top five. #1 on todays report.

I’m planning to work the WPX contest next month or at least start with intentions of finishing it.
