Here in Russellville my QTH on top of a hill has a good takeoff angle in
all directions. However, I have not heard A52 on long path at all.
Short path is a different story. I usually hear them well enough to
decode starting around 6PM to 8PM local time. As I type this A52P is on
14.092 so that's where I'm going to be listening this evening.
On a related note, dxpeditions are competing with each other on the same
band (and offsets) at the same time. That makes things much more
difficult to make contacts. They can't hear each other and have no idea
how hard it is for us to decode. The other night I was working A52CI on
18.096 while TT8 Chad was killing them. By some stroke of luck I did
work A52CI, but it was nerve wracking at the time.
