Greetings Again ADXA Folks,

Not to overshadow our upcoming 3rd Quarterly Meeting but I want to provide
some additional info on our annual conference November 11 in Russellville.

For those who plan to spend a night or two at the Holiday Inn Express, we
did not arrange a block of rooms. The hotel's normal weekend rate is very
attractive and in the past we had very few who took advantage of our group
rate, choosing to use an AARP, AAA, or other applicable discounted rate that
was available. This creates an issue in managing a group rate so this year
we chose to just let folks do their own thing. So, if you plan to stay a
night or two, please proceed with booking your room directly with the hotel.

Adrian, KO8SCA, and his wife will be arriving Friday and departing Sunday. I
do not yet have their exact travel schedule however they will be with us
over a period of time where everyone will be able to visit with him.

We will have a hospitality area open from sometime Friday afternoon and
after the meeting on Saturday. It will be set up in the back of the meeting
room. The luncheon will most likely be a very nice catered BBQ meal.

Please promote our conference as much as possible, even to DX'ers or
interested folks outside of Arkansas in the adjoining states. Adrian is a
major DXpeditioner, was a key instrumental figure in rebuilding and
reactivating 4U1UN, and is a highly sought after DX conference guest. As
previously mentioned, he is one of the very few people in the world to have
actually set foot on Bouvet Island! Please look at his QRZ page
https://www.qrz.com/db/KO8SCA to see all of the DXpeditions or activations
he has participated in. You most likely won't have another chance to visit
with Adrian on an informal level as this.
