I echo Joel’s comments, ADXA members. This is a special opportunity to have
a very exciting, informative, and fun ‘ham day’. Simply attend the
convention and ‘sit and soak’. The convention we had up here in NWA a few
years ago was stellar. An excellent crowd, GREAT speakers, door prizes,
etc. It was one of the top events I have ever attended.

Joel has exerted a lot of effort and has done a lot of legwork to make this
year’s convention worthwhile and successful. Let’s help Joel out and have
an “instant replay” of NWA’s convention with an excellent attendance.
Several of us in the Bella Vista club up here have gotten some new Generals
(and possibly some Technicians also) interested in DXing, station
maintenance, antennas, etc., who are planning to come to Russellville. We
have made them aware there is a lot more to DXing that just working
countries. Equipment selection, preparation, antennas, software programs,
etc. are paramount. We have related to them that is what ADXA is all about.

If you know of any newcomer(s), talk-up the convention to them and exhort
them to attend. What better way for them to launch-out in their amateur
radio experience than the convention.

Even though many of us were unable to work 3YØJ, Adrian’s program on that
DXpedition (plus many others I’m sure) will be an

outstanding presentation to experience. Personally, I love
programs/documentaries on ANY DXpedition. I have watched many of them

on YouTube as well as the EXCELLENT productions by James Brooks-9V1YC on his
Vimeo website: BS7H, A52A, FOØAAA, and others.

Adrian’s program will be no exception and worth the effort to be there and
witness his presentation live and in color, along with our other

great speakers.

We’re full steam ahead here in NWA in getting the word out
.hope you are
too, and hope you register today if you haven’t as yet.

See you there!!!

My 2 cents.

Subject: [ADXA] PLEASE!!!

ADXA Folks,

I want to again ask you to PLEASE register for our November 11 conference if
you plan to attend. We are seriously deficient with our registration numbers
at this point. We have worked hard to provide a world class special guest,
we have some amazing door prizes, a great lunch, and outstanding program but
our registration numbers are far below what we need to break even on this
event.

Is there something you don’t like about the conference plans?? If so, please
let me know what they are.

PLEASE register. We need you to support our ADXA conference if we want to
continue having these great events. The interests so far has been
disappointing.

Thank es 73,

Joel W5ZN
