NO NO Joel. Not referring to you or anyone I know personally. Yes, that is why I mentioned channel 2 for USA stations, down from their CW calling freq as you and ZM obviously know to do... I did not hear you or ZM work him on 60m … Not referring to digital modes since I don’t copy those.
But I did note 2 USA stations calling him on CW and they were calling when he was listening “up” in the EU 15kc wide band, no channels. So many times you see on DX Summit on the 60m monitoring of QSOs about NA stations calling off the 5 channels in many past DXpeditions over the years. I heard two guys calling in the 15kc “VFO” band of 5351.5-5366.5, one call I recognized a little as being on 60m when I was very active there years ago and another whose call I did not know.
Keep in mind, I do not monitor 60m that often because of about 3200 QSOs being on FT4/8 digital modes and only 660 Qs on CW. Not worth my time to monitor a lot therefore but what little I did one night I heard the 2 NA guys off channel over a period of about 15 minutes and strong NA stations telling them to QSY!! . Therefore, no telling how many may have done that over a few nights. My comment was about the rules of where to call, like channel 2, 5348 and NOT meant to imply that I heard any well known person calling, especially not any ADXA person. I would have kept any comment like that to a private email or phone call directly, as YOU likely would too.
I am sorry you have to leave town but understand what most of us would do for special, close friends. Your assistance will help the gentleman for sure. Drive carefully. Get ready for more DX chasing later.
73, and great again how well you and Earl have done. The 3Y0 will be very difficult to work for most of us but with your antenna systems, you both will be “up there” for sure as will K5UR.

San,
Just so everyone understands, Earl and I did NOT work them “out of band” on 60 meter CW. A few nights ago they were on CW lsning DOWN for USA on one of the USA authorized frequencies.
Don’t know what others have done, but N5ZM, K5RK and me all worked the legally on 60 meter CW.

San, where have they been operating out of band on 60? I always see them on the dial freq for data. Is this not correct?

Some ADXA emails not getting thru to @mailman.qth.net but W9DCT is getting thru all OK and sent out to us. Not sure where the glitch is.
My last email Wednesday at 8:40AM congratulating Earl, Jay and Joel did get through. Similar email today an hour ago about standings update on leaderboard for TN8K got lost I guess.

At this time with only about 2-3 days to go chasing the TN8K Congo, W5ZN is tied for #1 in all of NA with 38 band mode entities. Earl ZM is only one behind at 37, so kudos to these “Big Dog” chasers, both in the first column of five that includes the top 100 in all of NA. Good going!👍
Now, I need to get involved with my FT4 and FT8 software real soon and work a few bands on these modes to get up to about # 300 before they go QRT.. Luckily I do have ‘em on RTTY twice and FM once but refuse to operate on wrong frequencies outside the NA allowed 60m 5 channels. I will try to xmit on 5348 NA fixed channel 2 for a CW QSO and not in the 15KC wide VFO “band” used by the EU, AS etc. Glad the ARRL does not allow this as an ARRL DXCC county. 😄
OK, going to take a quick nap and try for 28mc SSB in next hour or so, IF they go there! 😒
Chase some more for this semi-rare DXCC entity before they go QRT. Got 3-4 new very rare to semi-rate entities coming up SOON. Thanks for the improving Cycle 25 SSN and upper band propagation.

San YY
