[ADXA] ADXA Conference November 11 - Russellville, AR

Greetings ADXA Folks,

 

I am pleased to finally report that the ADXA annual meeting & conference
will be held at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Russellville, AR. The
previously announced date is November 11. We will have a hospitality suite
open Friday evening, our formal program on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM, a
luncheon at noon then the hospitality suite will be open at the end of the
meeting and into the evening.

 

Arranging and booking an event at a hotel is a stressful endeavor. We
originally planned to hold this year's conference in northwest Arkansas
however, November 11 is a Razorback home game against Auburn and we were
unable to secure an adequate and affordable meeting facility. Once that
collapsed, we made an effort to fall back on the Wyndham in North Little
Rock but by the time the NW Arkansas effort failed the meeting date for a
Little Rock venue became unavailable. The Holiday Inn Express was given high
marks by WB5BHS and our date was available. I spoke to their meeting
management group and obtained specific details and a contract but before I
signed and confirmed it I wanted to actually see the meeting room and
facility. Kim and I drove over to Russellville today and were pleased with
what we saw. Its not at the level of the Wyndham in NLR or Holiday Inn in
Springdale but it is much nicer, more modern, and larger than last year's
room at the LaQuinta. As we know from past meetings, Russellville is located
basically half way between the two major geographical areas where our
members are located in central and northwest Arkansas.

 

Now that we have the hotel selected, we will begin work to finalize the
program and provide specific program details in a couple of weeks.

 

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND. We have gone to great effort and expense to secure a
world renowned DXpeditioner to be our special guest and we need a good
turnout!
