[ADXA] Don't Need the Weather Man!

Greetings ADXA Folks,

Bob Dylan's song from 1965 "Subterranean Homesick Blues" contained the 
lyric "You don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows". A 
couple of years later Bill Ayers used the line to name his radical 
political group "The Weathermen". Music and politics aside, since that's 
not our focus here, I must apply the phrase to amateur radio in Arkansas 
the past few weeks, and here's why.

How are those antenna projects progressing?? The weather has been 
absolutely fabulous in Arkansas recently and continues to be. You don't 
need a weather man to tell you this is amazing antenna working weather. 
With the exception of being extremely dry and in need of some rain, the 
beautiful clear skies, cooler temps, and low humidity have afforded us a 
golden opportunity to turn off the TV and get off the couch! If you're 
still working, darkness doesn't occur until 7:00 PM so you have a few 
hours each day to apply to your antenna project. We sit around and beg 
for weather like this for antenna work! I've been spending about three 
hours late in the afternoon up until dark working on my "antenna project 
list" and I'm very pleased it is coming together.

This will NOT last!!!! In just a few more weeks daylight savings time 
will end, winter will be another month closer, and darkness will be upon 
us much earlier. A ton of DXpeditions are coming up in addition to the 
2022-2023 DX contest season.

So don't worry about missing the six o'clock weather......you don't need 
the weather man. You also do not have to cram all of the antenna work on 
your list into one day. Remember the ADXA approach - establish your 
objective(s), make a list of things to do, develop a plan and then work 
that plan.

Get ready.....lots of DX is on the way very soon so once you complete 
your list you know what to do:

GET IN THERE AND WORK 'EM !!!!!!!!!!!!
