BTW Dennis I would trade you for that number 1 HR in a heartbeat my Desto Challenge points, hi.
I think you are doing the right thing adding a few here and there. That way your log can sync up to LoTW and at the same time your log can provide real time award tracking as you are looking for new band/modes via SpotCollector and the bandmap aka what DXL calls bandspread.

Thanks, Rory, and you’re right, I never intend to catch up to some of the ADXA legends. They were working and confirming band counters decades before I ever thought about it. I had one goal and one goal only - Honor Roll. Then as I worked what was available above that, I saw Honor Roll #1 in sight. The last one was Chesterfield - not terribly rare, but I had surgery and recuperation the time before and missed it, so when I got the latest TX5 expedition, I had ‘em all! No more worries about chasing - there were plenty of other things I was trying to do. Now George and John and Charles, my local friends, are going great guns on Challenge and I’m lagging behind.
I have a lot of QSL’s and I just looked at my logbooks and I have about 20,000 QSOs that haven’t been entered in DXKeeper or submitted to Lotw. I really doubt if I’ll upload all of them, but I might start doing one logbook at a time. I’ll go thru the QSL cards and resubmit those that fill band slots I need. I suspect that will put me about even with the local friends and then I’ll simply have to work more!
All the best wishes to you, Rory - the level of good thoughts and prayers coming your way is 60 over 9 and we’ll put on more power if needed! You haven’t missed the D60 yet - go get him.

Hi Dennis,
I appreciate that you are trying to "keep up" but going up against some of the "Big Guns" in ADXA is a formidable task that i don't think I would try. The Big Guns have more years on the bands than I do and more impressive contacts over the years than I can imagine. So, I am perfectly happy with my "personal best" and take pleasure in what I have accomplished in the Challenge sitting currently at 1162. Jay has called me a "Big Gun" but I don't think so Hi Hi. Because of recent illness I missed out on the D60 and I am sure it set me back aways. Keep up the good work and work um when you can get um!

If it wasn’t for some local friends running up nice totals on the Challenge, I’d be perfectly content to ignore it. However, noticing that my Challenge total was just 941 inspired me to at least try to break 1000. Then to catch up with my friends, I need to get up to 1300 or wherever they are at the time.
I’ve gotten some good advice on keeping up with what I need, but at this point, I need so much that it’s, well…..challenging.
I have been working DX since 1963 and I loaded all my logs into DXKeeper starting with 1987. However, I think for 87 and 88, and maybe a couple of more years, I just put in the better ones and left out common DX. I could upload more old contacts, but I’m not sure if the number of Lotw hits that far back would be worth it.
The surprise is how many I have mixed DXCC credit for that don’t show band information. These were QSL cards submitted decades ago. I guess the way to get Challenge credit is to resubmit the QSL or get Lotw credit for another station.
I pasted a DXCC list into Excel and will update it with what I have credit for and use that to try to fill in the blanks with old QSL cards and new contacts. I think that will be easier than scrolling up and down on a computer screen while looking at DXCC records. I know DXKeeper would probably give me real-time status on anything I hear IF I had uploaded everything to it. So much is so long ago that I’ve just decided that’s not the way I’m going to do it. It’s possible I could upload info to DXKeeper about which entities I have credit for even if those contacts aren’t all recorded in DXKeeper, but I haven’t found any way to do that yet.
