[ADXA] Central African Republic on 40M F/H

[Jay Bromley]

Lanny I am printing them with the rig tuned to 14.084 and they are -3 and
just got them with 45.8 watts.  It is 2004 UTC

Jay:

TL8ZZ decoded only once here at 1941Z with a +11 on 14.084 F/H.  Must have
been a fluke: reflection of some sort.  No decode since.  Propagation should
be waning, but I still see 5's calling.  Guess I should try 40M again with
Bill's success.

Hi Lanny,

They will be begging for contacts soon!  So hang in there.  What was weird
is K5OY Steve's end fed on 30m was printing them and nothing here.  That is
how I ended up on 40m.

I haven't had a single decode on any band since your contact last night.
They are using directional antennas 20 & up, but seem to favor EU.  I do see
east coast calling on 21.091 F/H now, so I need to be patient!  I'm glad
they'll be there until the 26th.  New digital for me when I do connect.

A few more got in there after I worked them.  K5DB and K5OY.  K5OY is on one
of those end fed antennas with a 7300, no amp!  

Noticed they updated there log right after that.  I think it was 0353 UTC.

 

Did you get them Lanny?
