Yep, I missed the 1987 date but knew what you meant, just did not want to call attention to your “mistake”.. HI You were just typing a bit fast. I do that all the time, putting down the wrong verb, leaving off a comma and sometimes do not re-read before sending it to the ADXA. But, I have an excuse, it’s called “old age”. Couple of months more will really remind me of my advanced age! Hmmm
Have good weekend. The tornado warning now with high winds is a bit nerve racking, especially since it hit our home up 7 months ago last week. Took my wife’s car to Arvest covered parking at 5PM to avoid hail damage, etc.. Just got back home. Need to turn this PC off, to heck with DX Summit and chasing DX with this thunder going on. ☹

Its exciting to see that all of you read my posts.....its depressing to note, thanks to a few of you point it out, that the "June 29, 1987" date I noted below is only 20 years off. That date should have been June 29, 1967.
Sorry for the error and many thanks to those of you who pointed it out !!!!!! And a special apology to San, you're not 20 years younger like you thought when you read that !!! :-))

Greetings ADXA Folks,
When were the "Good Ole Days" of DX'ing?
Well, that depends on who you ask! ADXA is about to begin our 56th year of existence. We still have one of the original members from that first meeting on June 29, 1987 with us - San K5YY (K5HQS back in those "good ole days").
For me, it was when I first started DX'ing back in the early 70's. Those were some very good ole days. Receiving a signals from a distant land on my little radio built from a kit was magical.
So what's your point here, Harrison? Its simple. We've just come out of almost three years of world lock down due to a pandemic. The world literally stopped. Our DX world stopped and went in to radio silence. Its now November 2022 and I just updated our website to note that T88WA is now ON THE AIR! ADXA folks, that gives us 4, yes FOUR DXpedition currently on the air; P29, J28, 5V, and T88. Two have just ended, TY and VK9 and three more scheduled to fire up this month.
There is literally more DX out there than you can shake a stick at ! After a three year drought we're now drinking from a fire hose!
These ARE the "Good Ole Days" of DX! So, you know what to do........
GET IN THERE AND WORK 'EM !!!!!!!
