[ADXA] Logging Program Recommendations

Hi Trent,I think contest  programs like N1MM and Writelog are too specialized for General logging. For one thing they have to keep up with all the contests, the algorithm for scoring and the constantly changing cty file, etc.However having said that, AA5AU used to tell people if they didn't need the award tracking they might be better to stay with the contest logging software of their choice. The reasoning was you would get used to it's feature set and be ready for contest season without another learning curve. That thought has some merit.Even though there are programs linking a contest programs like N1MM to DXLab, I find it just as easy to do simple adif file exports and imports.Recommending logging software is like recommending a car. What's right for one person is not good fit for another. That's why I always state what I'm using and why.  Then let the chips fall where they may. Even offer to help them if it's not software I'm currently using. Between the two of us we can usually get the job done.I still do AClog for other hams and one them is blind. That's all he ever knew before he went blind.  However I will usually check for fat finger mistakes and correct them with DXLab. Then I will upload his QSOs from there to LOTW.Started out with Log Master speaks in the late 90s. Then I moved over to Logger 16/32 and then DX4WIN for many years. Then finally moved over to DXLab because I could see the author's sticking around for a long time because of his love of DXing.
