[ADXA] My DX Report from Today

Just unplugged my antenna. Spotty storms moving into NW Arkansas just now
ahead of a cold front. Maybe a storm line later this evening before temps
plummet. Our week of early spring weather is over for a while. It was a nice
one while it lasted!!!
 
I saw SU9VB spotted a couple of times on 10m CW portion of the band March 5.
But never got to hear him. Did hear some good stations the past couple of
days. D2SEM was on 7.057 but very faint.  Today I chased 9J2BO on 21.009.
Tried to call 6W1TG on 28.560 but my voice is still not recovered, but I
tried. Dr. Paul GJ0KYZ was working on 14.0272. We've had numerous FT8 QSOs
so wanted to catch him on CW but he was very faint between periods of
nothing. Did hear him work an N1 station in VA. J5XF was working 14.056, but
again too faint to do much other than catch a few dits or dahs.
 
Only station I was able to work was 4X4DK on 10m FT8 for a new band.  He
confirmed just a while ago. So I just need about five confirms and five new
DX QSOs on the band for DXCC on 10m. Happy with my progress today!
 
Hope to feel up to coming to the meeting in Russellville next weekend. Have
some cards I need checked. Would love to see everyone face to face. 
 
Puzzling question. I've noticed as the band signals start to fade out at the
end of the good propagation period, there seems to be one brief push of
excellent signal strength before the DX goes completely silent. It's like a
last, very brief bust which may not even last long enough to complete a QSO.
Just wondering what is happening there? Anyone know of any good articles on
the science of propagation that describe it?
