Subject: [ADXA] Good weekend
Hope everyone participating in FD had a good time. It looks like it would have been torture here to be out in the heat. I didn't participate other than saying a few prayers for those working calls outside in the elements.
Friday I picked up WL7T/P in Grid EL84 on 6m. Had a friend who worked him Thursday night hoping he was somewhere in AK, but alas! It was good to see ADXA members getting him over the weekend also. Congrats to all those making gains on the 6m award. I am just starting that journey. Attached is a map of my US grids. Blue grids are confirmed HF QSOs (since I started tracking) and Black are all confirmed 6m. Long ways to go :-). Did pick up some new states (OR, WI, and IA ) Friday with a good opening in the afternoon. Just four states to go each on 12m and 6m WAS.
Saturday I received my two CQ WAZ awards (mixed and digital), which I applied for last October. That unexpected and fun to receive. The digital award has a low serial number, but they misspelled my name, so will have to get them to reissue it.
I saw D2UY the strongest I have seen him on 15m late Sunday afternoon. Still could not pick him up.
Is VK0MQ still on the air?
Have a great week of DX es 73,
Scott/W5AAJ
