Hi Earl,
I was wondering
the same thing on the antenna and really the whole setup.
For years I would see hometown 3A spotted up, but always
working EU. I know 3A’s that live there are pretty much
plagued by noise and I am sure this operation were having
noise issues as well. I got them on 12m, but I was really
was sure I got them on 15m. NIL and didn’t think to do a
screen shot of the RR73. However I made sure to do a screen
shot of the RR73 on 80m. Still I was worried where I was
good vs. NIL, as they didn’t upload their logs until they
shut down. Wish they had, so you could get another chance
if you didn’t make it the first time. Still I was super
pleased at the band/mode fills.
BTW, I do
recordings on SSB/CW and screen shots for digital. I didn’t
need the 40m CW, but I may see what is up with both the 40m
CW and the 15m FT8 NIL.
Still it was
fun to chase them! Some missed them first night on 80m.
However I passed along info to some that they would be on
the next evening for a second chance. Thanks to W3UR’s
Daily DX for that info! I listened to them on 80m that last
night and they very loud as they were tearing down. So loud
I begin to think it was a pirate! I was tempted to work
them again just for fun, but didn’t want to cause someone a
QSO.
Thanks again
Earl for the heads up!

Congrats on the 80m QSO. Glad I could be of some help.
When I first heard of the DXpedition I was hoping for a Q on
12m as that was one I needed. Also needed others below 40m. I
never dreamed on 80m.
Well I worked them on 12, 60 and 80 meters for new bands.
I wonder what their setup was for 80, antenna, rig and amp?
Congrats to all who worked them for a new one.

Hi All,
Noticed today 3A/PB8DX and 3A/F6EXV
uploaded their logs to Clublog. Excited to get them on all
modes and 80m especially. Thanks Earl for that 80m QSO!!!
Missing were my 15m and 40m CW, slim or busted call? I
didn’t need them on 40m, but 15m would have been a new one
for that mode. So I will keep chasing 3A on 15m, 10m, 6m
and 160m when there is another expedition to 3A. 😊
That one was fun!
