[ADXA] CW Skimmer question

Follow-up. I am not sure, Joel (and Jay). Turning the Skimmer software off
and on, sometimes I think I see an S1 or perhaps S2 difference on the radio
S-meter, but then it seems to self correct after a second or two but the
noise is still there. Sometimes the noise is minimal and other times it
interferes with decoding. I have not been able to correlate it to band or
other conditions.
I may be getting some RF. We've had some changes in the electric service out
here so it may be a reflection of that. But the shack itself is not properly
grounded yet. We are making some changes (hoping to bury our electric
service out to the utility pole) and I have to install a ground rod under
the radio room and bond it to the perimeter ground rods. Hopefully, I can
complete that in 2022.
If I leave the radio on for a while, the computer sometimes makes a hiccup
in the audio sound when I turn the radio on (an extra little ding). When
this happens, I have noticed WSJT-X sometimes crashes on me during a QSO.
When I unplug the radio for a while it resets and gives the normal sound
when I turn the radio back on. Perhaps a new radio to USB shielded cable
might help on that problem.
A lot of variables. But thanks for the suggestions. I will keep looking for
some correlation to the problem and see what I can find and make the planned
upgrades as soon as I can.

When the noise begins do you see an increase on your S meter? That would be
the "RF path" or do you just hear in in the speakers/headphones (that would
be the "Audio path)?
