George:
I hope many ADXA members can work FT8WW since it might be years before another operation from there headed by a military employee of France. Same for Kerguelen Island FB8X.
I can see this operator staying only on 2 bands, working more individuals for an ATNO one rather than working a lot of band modes for the “big dogs” out there around the world. 😊 But, I hope he does get on SSB and CW for those not on FT8, even if it allows some to get two modes in their log.
I need on the WARC bands but likely he will stay on perhaps just 14 and 10mc. We shall see. I do not see him gg to 40m, where I also need them. Luckily I got Crozet on other bands on 3 prior trips many years ago!
73 and keep up the chase and monitoring. Happy New Year to all ADXA members.

I'm seeing him for the FIRST time ever on 20m.  Spotty, but he's in there 75% of the time.

He’s got a decent LP signal here on 14.085.  Each stream is about -10db S/N or so.  I worked him around 1435UTC.  I noticed Joel, ZN, worked him about an hour earlier and last night I saw Kathy, WQ5T, getting an RR73 on 20M FT8.  Theiry, F6CUK, has put a lot of folks in the log in a pretty short timeframe.  I heard him on 20M CW yesterday but he QRT’d before I could snag him.

Not so successful getting a good signal into my QTH yet.

Fist decoded him on 10.131 last night with a workable signal, but I don’t have a 30m antenna at the moment. I did pick him up briefly late afternoon yesterday on 28.074. Decoded him a few times before propagation dropped out—assumed it was not a pirate since he mentioned he would try 10m some.

This morning was looking promising on 14.085, but he switched to 14.032 (very weak signal). Couldn’t really make him out. But geomagnetic field has been active, so not good conditions the past couple of days.

Excited some of you have already got him!

73 es gud DX,
Scott/W5AAJ
