[ADXA] PRICE INFLATION ON IMPORTED HAM GEAR, PARTS, TUBES, ETC.

Although the US Dollar Index is strengthening a bit, I'm afraid of price
increases for ham gear and associated parts after Jan.1, 2022.  I hope I'm
wrong.


Tonight I ordered a matched pair of 3-500ZGs for the nice Henry 2-KD we
found in Cincinnati several months ago.  They are Chinese, of course.
The tubes that came in the Henry are working FB.  However, the supply of
new tubes may become critical if China continues with its quest of
reunification with Taiwan.

The invoice from RF Parts shows a matched pair of 3-500ZG/500Z tubes for
$449.91 (plus shipping).

I was in the avionics business (sales and service) for thirty years and I
know how quickly the prices of parts can double and triple.
