[ADXA] XZ7A - my thoughts on catching this imposter who did the QRZ.com info

Unless by a telephone call QSO with Rick with his increased telephone audio output… 😊
Glad others have noted some specific ham’s antennas and rigs, etc.. Do these idiots think they can get by with stuff like this and get it published on QRZ.com?? Surely QRZ.com has some checkers to see if info is correct AND who sent it! That person’s email address that set up the XZ7A information and photos should be available and searched for who has that email address.
73 all… Oh yes, I worked the XZ7A but will not send for a card. Think I used FT8, not sure! LOL

I suspected as much yesterday when the signal got above +00 on FT8 a few times.  But my antenna indicated his signal was coming from the proper general direction, however that still left a lot of real estate that he could have been located in.  I really thought his station was a bit too much for such a remote and 3rd world country when I checked the QRZ page.  BTW, I was not successful working him anyway.

Thanks Joel!  The station was on 80 m FT 8 this morning with a great signal then bounced to 40 and then bounced to 15.  Got everybody excited

See below from W3UR - The Daily DX - since XZ7A came up in discussion
here yesterday I'll "repost" this and ask Bernie's forgiveness for not
getting permission first. However this is important for everyone to
know. Bill, K5FUZ has operated from Burma and was a bit cautious about
this.

Someone was pirating the call XZ7A yesterday. They went through more
effort than usual making a QRZ.com page with nice radios and antennas
on towers, but don't be fooled by these bogus activities. Just as we
were about to release today's issue W2AXR, Alex, reported one of the
images on the XZ7A QRZ.com page (which will soon be deleted) were
really from the VE6JY page! So don't bother trying to work this one!
