Jay:
Just checked again… I had not worked him in 2016, so any QSO for me would be the recent few SSB QSOs he made over a day or two. I am sure whatever timeframe he got my 14mc SSB QSO in ClubLog would have clearly shown 21 SSB which I worked 4 hours earlier.

Again, no big deal, just glad he had fun as a solo operator which requires a lot of personal planning, mental anguish and days of fatigue. But for those who are not in the log, I am sure they are ‘hurt’ just a bit, especially if on 160m FT8 or 80m SSB.. 😊

But, a DXer can always check with the QSL manager AFTER a trip to perhaps clarify things for a lost band/mode QSO… Often if off by ONE letter in the prefix or suffix and if nobody QSLs with that ‘mis-logged’ callsign after a reasonable time, THEN some managers will OK the QSO. I’d wait 3-4 weeks for sure, then a friendly short note to M0OXO about his thoughts. But he is a busy manager. One thing they look at is if the station with a question has a few other band/mode QSOs, then it might be correct that a mis-log occurred by a finger logging error, and the DXer does have a decent station/antenna system. 😃 👍
Happy Thanksgiving next week!!

Hi San,
After the log time was updated past my QSO, I was NIL.   I did do another check the next day and I was in the log that time.  So Check it in a few days.  Not sure what is going on, but now I give it a couple extra days even those the Date/Time has long passed a QSO.

Glad the TL7M logs were accurate but unfortunately I did work him on 21 SSB this trip as TL8AO, but I’m not in log. Oh well, no big deal.. But clearly a QSO so guess some other K5Y_  or K5_Y got in the log. 😊  The 14mc SSB QSO did get logged. Yeah!!

Ken is one great CW operator. Enjoyed chasing him a bit on the bands but never worked him on 28 or 10mc CW and you never knew when he would go on those bands... Barely heard him on 3.5 but only there a few minutes then went QRT.. His antenna on 3.5 was up only for a day or so. Hey, his money, his time and his lack of sleep, and being a solo operator with marginal antennas. Been there, done that in the 70s and 80s. Ain’t easy..  Tough trip for sure with MANY thunderstorms and power outages problems.

Funny photo on DX World of his SSB operation with the PTT hand mike TAPED to his head, leaving his two hands free.. Obviously was using VOX… 😃 👍…
