[ADXA] Confusing to me. What is 13m, an EU Novice band?

Thanks Steve.
Yep, just went back to the site and saw on DX Summit that the spots were for 489.730. Did not think of satellite. So your “cm” was correct! HI. Dumb me to not have thought of satellite communication back home. That explains why NO DXCC countries were counted under band/mode DXCCs. They just mentioned the continents in the statistics and guess there might be a satellite DXCC but not sure.

I used to be on satellite in the 1980s and worked a few states and countries but you had to know when and what directions and elevations the satellites would be at the time! Got to be too difficult for me to figure out things, back BEFORE computer and cellphone days, etc.
Gosh, that was about 37 years ago for me!!

Now I can sleep tonight. I should have known something when Earl had not got ‘em on “13” yet and NO FT8 was allowed. LOL Just hope I can catch them on 30m CW and maybe 3.5 if lucky. 24mc is out of question. Earl is only AR station to work A25 on 24mc..Without FT8 is would be almost impossible for mid NA where we are.

San, it’s 13 cm, not 13 meters.  That’s the band of the amateur satellite they were working.

It was in their announcement of the operation.

Gave up UHF etc completely. Bet Joel has 13cm band ability! Hi  Gotta use EME at that point. Have not seen spots for 13m etc. Confusing to most of us..
Strange … Hey, it’s their $$ and they can do what they want. Couple of the guys were on the 7Q7RU trip too. Pretty good ops on CW for sure.
Getting for yet another rainy day or two, starting in early AM here. Luckily the grass here is not growing much or very fast.

San, how about 13 cm?  They have been active on one of the birds.  You have 2.3 GHz there?

A25RU…   what is 13 meters? All QSOs there are SSB and CW, no FT8. Refer to the ClubLog band/mode QSOs 160-10m and somehow 13m got thrown in for EU and a few AF guys … No USA naturally. That must be their “CB, non Ham band”???  😊
Otherwise, of 33,000 QSOs ALL SSB is on 20 meters for rest of world.  Someone  inform me about 13m… Must have missed that on other DXpedition band/mode numbers.. Fortunate to have A25 on 4 CW bands but still need 24, 30 and 80m.. Maybe I can catch ‘em on 14 SSB if I happen to be up at the time they’re on.
