Ahhhh San, that is a perception that not reality, hi. Gezz you guys have seen me write on these forums. I am a bloody idiot! Thank you for the kind words though. At this QTH it is mostly luck, I use Google, read in user forums, manuals, and having good Elmers to this day to nurse me along.
I remember when you started RTTY DXing and you blew by me in short order and I use to do quite a few RTTY contests! Even with WSJT modes I am about 50 behind you. Still my CW, SSB and Digital modes are slowly equalizing their totals.
I do feel for the guys that got right at the DXCC Honor Roll on RTTY. I heard of one person one away and felt sorry for him when they mixed in all the digital modes as most have a S/N advantage compared to RTTY.
On the other hand I’ve seen some RTTY contesters now using 3 decoders at once. So I am not sure about the S/N keeps one from working ATNO unless you are trying to work from here a 3A or VU7, lol.
