While, I did not have any major free time (blasphemy I know) due to the job that pays the bills being the bulk of my weekend time. I do recall a store of working the “Museum Ships On The Air” a few years ago.
I made a contact with the USS Yorktown and the operator on the other end when he acknowledge my call sign (N5LKE) replied with “Hey Fred, nice to hear from you after a number of years”. Not only was this a special contact for me having lived previously in the Charleston SC area and enjoying many weekend visiting the Yorktown. It was all the more special making the contact with someone who remembered my Grandfather who was first issues the callsign. A brief contact and back a forth to catch up and explain who I was and how and why I have the call sign, but a special contact that I will keep forever.
Thank you,
J Ferguson

Finally, got to work Stuie (VK8NSB) on FT8 15m Friday night. He also has the VK100AF (Australian Air Force 10th Anniversary SES) which I also worked with an hour of his other station, also on 15m FT8.

In the middle of it I thought I had lost him when a Russian station called me and somehow threw my reply exchange off, causing me to send my initial call again to JY. JY stuck with me though as I got back on track with a signal report to him and we finished. He confirmed within an hour or so.
