John, I had seen him earlier when I saw Pat work him, but he wasn't strong enough for me, maybe -10. I watched him for a while and he started to weaken and then I started singing, "Should I stay or should I go" and dropped down to 20m to see if he might have gone there on FT4--a favorite with him. Not much going on on 20m so after a while I went back and he was stronger. He stayed -5 to -8 for a long time and that's when I worked him--at 0237z. He was still at -8 thirty minutes later.
Had ZL2 call me while I was trying to work him the first time, and after I finished with JT, RW0AR called me and I worked him.
Congrats on E2!!!

No doubt, but can't beat the thrill of working the world on 100W and a wire, hihi. That Par EFHW Quad is a heck of an antenna for no longer than it is. I have it up about 20' horizontal. SWR is almost nothing on the four bands. I have 76 countries on 5w on that antenna.
73,
Scott

Scott,
What time did you see JT1CO? I saw people calling him but he never printed here. Steve, N4JQQ, and I were exchanging text messages and I mentioned it to him. He may have showed up later on but I had already shut down.
I worked the E2 this AM on 20. I got my tower and beams up a few weeks ago and this morning was the first time I had focused in on Asia on our greyline. I actually had stations calling me from Asia that I needed for band countries! It sure beats the EFHW wire!!

After months of trying on 20m ft8, I picked up JT1CO last night on 15m. That was a surprise. Saw Pat, W5VY, also working him. This morning I tried to work E2 on 20m. He never got stronger than a -10 but that's pretty good for Thailand on my rig. But I'll get him one day. Then will just need VU for WAZ!
Lately, DX on 15m has also been good some mornings after first light to around 9:00 a.m. or so.
Good DX and 73,
Scott/W5AAJ
