[ADXA] Special USA calls and how to go about it thru special FCC allowances on special anniversaries...

That would be neat, have not thought of that! I could perhaps see the FCC allow that “50” or “55” for those special anniversaries as a licensed ham. But when you get to #60 you would not get permission unless like K560YY. Hmmm  A W1 would only get a 10 year or 15 year special call and a W8 or W9 would have difficulty getting to 80 or 90 for their ham license anniversary.. Something to think about. 

Maybe ALL call area stations could get their area and add 10 or 20 or 30 behind the call area number.  I would have gotten  K560YY and soon will quality for K565YY.. Gotta go sleep on this .. Bet Joel or Rick could get some FCC allowances along these lines! Naturally the FCC would make some added $$$ for their money pool. HI  I’d give an extra $60 to the FCC for my special call and would get on the air LOT more for sure during that year, knowing a lot of hams around the world would want my unusual call in their log. Multiply the special calls by thousands in the USA, and the FCC would be going “hmmmm” I bet. A cool extra $3-4 MILLION in the FCC bank account..

For heck of it, worked 20+ DX stations on 14 CW today in a 90 minute span. Strange call on one was SP1980LL. Look it up! HI  Always some special “event” that shows up for a week or a weekend or a single day. Lot of “certificates” floating out there if you wanna chase unusual things/events and then spend a couple of bucks in getting a special wall decoration! 😊 
 
Some of the special calls are just for this year and maybe not again until another 5 years.. I liked the Route 66 award a few years ago where I got the last station with only an hour to go in the 48 hour period. I did put that on the wall!
