As other said, with the VHF group going to various grids, most use /R
(rover) when there for a relatively short time. I do know that N0LL
tends to use /P (portable) for even short trips.
Jack W0XR/P goes to spots and stays for longer periods .... RVing around
the country. So he will often be in the same grid for a lot of days.
He prefers /P since it's a static, multi-day operation, and not a short
rove.
