[ADXA] W7EL Retiring

I guess he’s earned his retirement! I’ve had EZNEC for years but have always been able to figure things out without having to bother Roy. I’m pretty sure I have the latest version (EZNEC+ 6.0). It’s nice that he’s putting it in the public domain.
I also use Yagi Optimizer by Brian Breezley, and paid more for it than I did for EZNEC. As far as I know, nothing has really replaced it. There are plenty that analyze antennas, but watching YO run thousands of yagi iterations and come up with the best to suit your parameters (gain, F/B, match) is fascinating. It models brackets, tapers, and matching systems. Although Brian never made it free, as far as I know, I see that copies are available on the internet. He embeds your call in the program, at least for the version I have. It’s necessary to use it with something like DOSBox or vDOS, and I’ve never figured out how to print results from it, but I still use it.
73,
Dennis
