Antennas appear OK here. Icing on roads. How did everyone else fare?

1230Z, woke up to generator running. Activated about 0430L. Didn't wake me up even though right outside BR. Cummins are quiet. Light ice on vegetation. Surfaces have no ice. Light rain. I see light ice on my wires. Doesn't appear to be any on yagis. F12 C3E not drooping at all. 33 degrees here. Supposed to be a factor until around noon.

High SWR on my 40 meter vee. We may have dodged a bullet. In terms of power outage, MLGW is a very fragile system run by an even more fragile group of employees. Power outages, significant, in perfect weather are not uncommon.

Steve

Looks like the really bad center of this shifted toward Earl, N5ZM, Steve, N4JQQ, John KT4AC and others in E/SE Arkansas.

Its going to be a long night for a lot of ADXA folks. As you well know, we are under an ice storm warning in north central Arkansas. Myself, K5UR, K5EJ, N5QS/N5QT, N5LKE, AC5AV and K1LEC are in the bullseye for a half inch of freezing rain/ice. That is catastrophic for antennas. It has been drizzling rain all day here and the temp only rose to 30 degrees. I already have a thin layer of ice on everything and the heavy stuff is scheduled to move in after midnight.

Let's hope for the best. As you know we brace for one of these ice storms about every 10 years. We had one in 2000 and the last one in 2009 so we are due, so to speak.

I wish it would be snow but that's Monday's forecast!

Best wishes for all of us, and our antennas, to survive this.
