Steve,
Go into your power Advanced Power settings to check/see if your USB is set more for battery power.  If you have that USB port being put to sleep disable the suspend option.  

Ditto for ethernet ports while you are in there.

I run WSJT between computer and TS-890 with USB cable for rig control and audio.  I have had an old problem return though somewhat different. This time, the audio signal, for transmit, from WSJT to my rig goes to sleep.  I have to turn off the radio, close the program, turn on the radio and start the program in exactly that order.  I still have rig control when this is going on, just no audio signal.  I have been down this rabbit hole before when the RECEIVE side was going to sleep.  I never figured out what caused that, it just went away one day.  Any of you software gurus have any ideas?????

BTW, Windows 11 about to be released.  I just can't wait.
