160m DXCC from an apartment random wire is one HELL of a feat! I promise you it was over a LONG period of winter months to have worked into EU and Pacific/Asia and most of AF.
Never heard of his call on 160m but maybe Joel or Roderick has. I will look it up on QRZ.com

It will be interesting to see what the prices are in a week. I've got a couple things I'll bid on but I have spent the last couple years emptying the closet of all the gear I might use someday.

I was curious who this fellow was and tracked down his call as W8REW (as best I can figure).

Besides the huge amount of gear, I found it interesting he achieved DXCC on 160 using a random wire from his apartment. Didn’t say how long it took, but bet it was an over abundance of patience and dedication!

I’m not sure I’ll live that long!

HI HI….  Agree, and lots of them.
Maybe 2-3 ADXA members can put their money together and form a “ham radio company” and offer some low prices that might make a big profit over the next few months, AFTER checking out each unit and such. Things that do not work could easily sell for parts. The tuners should be no problem, nor most microphones and simple accessories. Don’t forget the 10% auction company fee.

I might recheck things in another 5 days to get a “better feeling” of what I don’t need but might could put on my shelves if The Price Is Right.. Oh, that’s a TV show’s name! 😊

The word is leaky caps and batteries, parts, etc.

I would be a bit afraid of the items being way our of warranty and without being turned on occasionally much less “never”, might have some issues. Not sure who does Ten Tec repairs or whatever, but the cost of having a problem and shipping both ways might not be offset by a fairly low price at auction.

Just my feeling about an auction like this. And the “format” of older Ten Tec items are not consistent with recent Yaesu, Icom and Kenwood items that are up to date with today’s technology and on-the-air abilities.

Wow.  What a lot of stuff.  This makes me even more intent not to have so much junk around.  He must have had every radio TenTec made (except the 6n2) for what I can tell.

Hope they get close to actual value for it.  Nice selection of gear.

If you haven’t participated in auction before, there is a 10% premium, in this case, owed on anything you win.

This is a private ESTATE SALE of all the Ham Radio equipment that was owned by 'Just ONE PERSON'.....IF you can believe it?  I'm trying to help the family in selling it & you can see the 'count-down' on the listings, as its almost 1/2 complete.

The auction is being handled by a small town Real Estate Co. in Ohio, who are good friends of the family & they've never handled Radio equipment before.   I'm told that ANY & ALL of the items will go to the highest bid received by its ending and W/O any minimums or comparisons to current value being of concern!   Fully 1/2 of the listings are BRAND NEW, UNUSED, STILL IN THE ORIGINAL BOX items and the used items are LIKE-NEW.  I'm also told that THIS listing will be the ONLY one that will be made!

Items will be shipped to out-of-area buyers at closing.   The family didn't want to forego the time and effort for a description on each item, and left that to the bidders own knowledge & research.
