Steve, N4JQQ, has provided updated DXCC Standings info. He has added a good
number to his Digital Count and is getting close to DXCC on 80M. Steve has
added band counters on several bands and his Desoto Challenge total is now
2041. Like many of us Steve feels 160 is out of reach on a city lot. Seems
like RFI is a bigger issue on 160 than most other bands with audio gear
being one of the biggest issues. Most problems can be solved if your
neighbor will work with you. In John, ON4UN's Low-Band DXing he points out
that a low zig-zag dipole will work if nothing else is possible. He points
out that Robert, K2UO, has over 250 confirmed on 160M with a stealth dipole
less than 30ft up and zig-zags all over a small city lot. I was looking in
Jeff, K1ZM's 160M book "DXing on the Edge" and found that our own San, K5YY,
holds DXCC #19 on 160. Rick, K5UR, holds #49, and Stan, K5GO, has #101.
The vast majority of the first 100 were from the east coast and EU.

73,

Pat, W5VY
