1747, 24935, good signal, needed for a new one on 12 meters.  Saw him 
spotted earlier but nothing.  Left radio on freq and suddenly he 
appeared.  Patience is a virtue.  He is building now if you need it.

Great to see 12 open.  My first antenna other than wires was a Cushcraft 
R4 vertical.  10-12-15-20 meters.  Propagation was great and I worked 
many new ones on 12 meters.  I later upgraded the antenna to an R5 with 
a kit that added 17 meters.  I recall when that band became legal for US 
amateurs.

After I upgraded to yagi, the R4/R5 went to C6 where it lasted for many, 
many years.  Great memories.
