Dennis,
Thanks.  I was on the verge of starting a fund raiser to get you to go back
to Marcus!  I was on the air in 1973 but spent several weeks in Chicago in
training.  Seems like I remember Sam, WA5HNN, talking about working you?

JG8NQJ has gone to Minami Torishima a couple of times a year for a few
years. Last year his October trip was cut short and he was not on the air
much at all.  I think his spring 2020 trip was cancelled due to COVID.  A
couple of years ago a large deposit of rare earth metals was found in the
coastal waters of Torishima. Apparently access to the island is pretty
limited now.  I visited the JARL desk at Dayton in 2019 and was told a
DXpedition to JD1-M was not possible.  Glad I finally have it.   I missed
many opportunities over the years.
