Pat, congrats.. You tweaked my looking and I note I have worked JD1-MT on 40 sometime in the past but NOT confirmed. Missed re-sending a QSL I guess, and if I get time I will go back to see who I worked. Need for ATNO on 30m and 12m but do have on 18mc of the 3 WARC bands. Naturally nil on 160/80. Hi
Admire you being up at 3:40AM timeframe!! … Not done that ‘getting up early stuff’ for a year or so. Need my rest. Anyway, will get up the energy to see who I worked on 40 and maybe send another card. Hate the $1.50 Air Mail fee now compared to about 50 cents a couple of years ago, plus sending $2 bill inside. $3.50 to just put a card in my 40m box!! 😊 Boy, we should be happy OQRS exists on ClubLog and PayPal payments!!
San Have a great week!

Very good one Pat!  I woke up around then and "almost" got up for a while.  Guess I should think twice about a decision to NOT check the bands, hihi.   Good DX.

I worked Take, JG8NQJ/JD1 this morning around 0940UTC on 40M CW for an ATNO.  He makes trips to Minami Torishima (Marcus Island) periodically and it appears that on this trip he is on 40 and 30M CW only.  He’s not on every morning but has been showing up pretty regularly for the past week.  I’ve missed him a couple of times….I got up early on the days he didn’t operate!  He was on 7.007 this morning listening up 1.  He seems to be hanging around 7.010 plus or minus a few.  JD1/M is fairly rare…in the top 30 or so.  I think Take is the only operator that has been active from there for few years.  His QSL manager, JA8CJY, posts status updates of Take’s operating plans.

Bernie, W3UR, has been reporting on this latest activity in the “Daily DX”….thanks Bernie.
