[ADXA] 160 Experience

Well, after never being able to be on 160, including my QTH in Memphis,
due to RFI, I decided to try again.  I have a Cushcraft MA-40/80
vertical that I installed with the most radials my city lot could
accommodate several years ago.  It was mostly an experiment as I have
resonant vees on 40 and 80.  Anyway, I discovered the CC MA-160 vertical
and found that it used the same base as the MA-40/80.  So, in the
meantime, I found a used MA-160 on-line and bought it.  I assembled it
and with the help of my wife, I dropped it on the existing base
section.  I'm glad there are no pictures or audio recordings.

Last night, about 0100L, I woke up after falling asleep watching a movie
and decided to see what I could hear.  Well, in a few short minutes I
worked:

5T5PA, HI8RD, V31AE, XE2T, VA3FF, LA3WKA, G3NSM and XE1MW.  All of this
was via FT8 since that is where the signals were for my "test."

I guess the damn thing works.  No RFI in the house either.  This will be
interesting.

73,

Steve, QQ
