In John’s Low Band DXing book he gave me, he also gave me a CD of his 80 and 160m achievements, etc. He wrote on the envelope a “San K5YY, many thanks for my #300 on 80m and for many years of friendship”.  I will cherish this note and CD for the rest of my ham life. The date he gave this to me was May 25, 2005 at W5SJ’s home..
The Low Band DXing he gave me was the 4th Edition, 2005.

Richard, he was so easy to get along with, always friendly, as W5SJ can attest to. I am not sure of his age when he passed on. Maybe Bill knows.
