[ADXA] Blast from the past

Excited to find out I worked Chet's Atkin's old sign tonight; Jill in
Sparta, TN WA4CZD. 40m FT8, 0213z.

 

Shortly after I became a ham, I had run across a video of Chet in his
kitchen calling CQ. Started looking around and found Jill on QRZ under his
original callsign. Chet had been her Elmer and got her started. Her husband
had played in the band. 

 

Tonight , I didn't see any DX I needed, so I started calling CQ on 40m with
20W. A lot of fun getting her callback. 

 

Ham radio is like box of chocolates. You never know ...
