Vladimir Bykov (UA4WHX) confirmed one of our Qs via QRZ.com. He was part
of a DXposition on Rodriguez Island (Feb. 2019). His QSL gave me
99 of the 100 needed for a DX100 award. Total countries logged on QRZ is
232, but no DX100 yet. Perhaps soon.

Unfortunately, Vlad does not use LOTW. No problem. I sent him $10.00 via
PayPal for a paper QSL. This was about three times the amount he normally
receives. In Louisiana, we Cajuns call the extra gift, "lagniappe."

In response, he emailed me back and volunteered to send four QSLs (he
manages multiple QSL accounts). Evidently, I worked several of his
customers. If the international air carriers ever start flying again, I'll
receive QSLs from Mayotte, Mauritania, Cape Verde and Rodriguez Island. 😀

Still no confirmation on LOTW for VP8PJ, HU1DL (X4) , TO7DL and 5H3UA.

Finally received my 40 M DXCC certificate in the mail today. Working on 30
and 80 now.

Jim and I decided to postpone the construction of a "loop-on-ground"
receiving antenna. We'll wait until the ticks are active...May or June.

The 300 foot receiving long wire is working fine. Worked Liechtenstein
(HB0/HB9LCW) on 30 today at 21:16. Could not hear him on my Delta Loop.
Very noisy. We were both 559.

The local VA clinic in Mt. Home now has a trained screener at the entrance,
all decked out in space gear. The clinic is short of masks and denied my
request for two. My six-month exam tomorrow will be conducted over the
phone as per their request. Fine with me. It's getting crazy, folks.

Please stay safe, ya'll.

Cecil
