[ADXA] VP8PJ, etc

I had a long weekend out of town so I’m behind on VP8PJ.   I’ve worked them on 20 CW and SSB, 17 CW, 15 CW, and 40 and 30 FT8.  I tried 80 last night but didn’t hear them.  I’ve had fun chasing, anyway.   

I enjoyed San’s story about being so excited to work them on RTTY (I think that was PJ - anyway, he was excited to work somebody).   That’s the DX spirit - to yell when you work one even though you’ve been at the top for years.     Also good to see San getting a taste of FT8.  It’s just another tool in the arsenal.  I don’t have an SDR rig to watch the waterfalls on, so seeing and identifying all the signals on the quite pretty waterfall is interesting.  There is some strategy involved, too.  I’ve never done that much on RTTY but the musicality of the tones and seeing the text scroll across as it is sent is very nice.  I hope it never goes away.
