[ADXA] Postal problems and thoughts expressed today on CNN and FOX, etc

I find it hard to believe that about 120 DXCC countries we chase out of 340, about 35%, can not be counted on to get mail to or from. Most is due to postal workers not sufficient enough to handle the load of mail in the high Covid-19 countries or poor transportation systems from town to town.
And now just today news outlets are predicting that some areas will be documenting 50,000+ PER DAY of + Covid-19 tests!! Yes, many are asymptomatic, BUT so many ARE so severely symptomatic that all hospitals in some areas like Miami and Houston and Phoenix are maxed out of hospital beds and for sure no ventilator rooms available even though many are in storage being unused in some cases.
Nurses and assistants and doctors are maxed out with depression and getting more Covid-19 themselves and calling in sick. Nobody to replace them. To top it all off, this C-19 virus, contrary to the usual flu and normal covid viruses, is NOT being killed by warm and hot weather and, in fact, in so many areas is returning with a secondary invasion of C-19.
• I am so thankful we have a radio hobby that can keep us inside and doing some fun things besides just reading or watching TV reruns, etc. In September if football and other sports do NOT start or start late with a max of 6-7 games, and if some schools close til January, the young students will be affected more than ever, and I am so sorry about that. Makes us realize how much fun it was just going to school and from class to class and conversing with our friends before and after school hours.
• I pray, as does my wife, that we can ALL wear our masks and keep social distancing and SLOW DOWN this pandemic. I wish those who do not wear a mask would stop saying it is their right to do what they want, mask or not. But it is not their right to infect us who do wear masks and practice adequate spacing!
• Civility is being tested more than with any other issue that has faced the people of this earth. Remember the award winning movie of decades ago, “Planet of the Apes” and the sequels? Wonder if they knew Morse Code or about SSB or FT8? No, they just lived life day by day, not knowing what to expect tomorrow. I refuse to do that.
God Bless our ADXA members and their families. Lets keep in touch with private emails or via our ADXA email comment site. I enjoy reading about who is being spotted, even if on FT8 only, and who might be a “rare one” to chase for a new band/mode. Calling CQ DX in hopes that God will answer …..
73 and 88s…

I received a card from Chile last Friday that was mailed in November according to the post mark. After not getting the first card after some time thinking it was most likely lost, I contacted the manager and he sent a second card in March. It arrived on Saturday.
Both were for Easter Island contacts.

Finally hit #100 (worked) on 6m this month ... and not too many open QSL needs ... but still a few too many, LOL. Guess I need to re-work some countries, or catch new ones, if I hope to reach 100 confirmed anytime soon.
Sure enough my fault though, as I delayed way too long on some of my old 6m QSOs. Not only jeopardizing ever getting a card ... but now can't even have a chance at catching up till the virus postal disruptions stop.
