I made a mistake. I DO have Turkoman (Now EZ Turkmenistan) on 14mc SSB and it was UH8BO on January 31, 1968!! It was Turkoman back then. So K5QHS does have this on 14mc. On CW got them for an ATNO on June 7, 1983.
Gosh, glad I have detailed records here! HI

My last EZ was on 14mc in January 2008, EZ7AA. Never got a QSL because was not listed on QRZ.com at the time. I do have EZ on 24 and 18mc in the remote past but not 21 on down to 160m.
I suspect if the ARRL got a PTT letter from EZ stating that no ham radio allowed, THEN maybe the old 10 year rule would start to be discussed, like in the old Neutral Zones stuff in the 1970s and early 80s. Then you delete (yes makes some people mad who don’t like seeing a DXer pushed to #1 on a deletion decision) but might happen if no operation in 15 years, which would be in 2022!

My ST0 operation of 1978 in Juba ended up being deleted later due to administrative changes in ST0 in co-ordination with the ST2 PTT in 1998. Then it was re-added later ( July 14, 2011 ) when they divided again for sure and you had to re-work ST0.. My first ST0 was #331 for me in early 1978 just before I went there to operate, then my second ST0 new one was #402 total worked with 341 current DXCC count in July 2011. We shall see what we shall see about EZ.

Thanks info Jay.

Regarding its DXCC status due to this, this is not the first time in history this has occurred. I believe Albania and China are recent "past" similar situation and both are now quite active.

Anywho, I don't expect there to be a change in its DXCC status. Now, North Korea on the other hand........................(read that to mean I have Turkmenistan so I'm not worried about it!!! :-)))

Rory,

Found the following on-line. Based on this information Turkmenistan has not allowed Amateur Radio since 2006.
If Amateur Radio is illegal/suspended perhaps the DXAC should review its status (yes I realize that that may cause some flame mail).

Hope this helps.

Amateur radio has been suspended in Turkmenistan since August, 2006.
Nevertheless, EZ7V (a club station) has been QRV since then, along with one or two other EZ stations.

In June, 2010, Bill Moore, of the ARRL DXCC Desk, confirmed that EZ7V counts for DXCC only until 2006-12-31.
Club Log maps EZ QSOs as INVALID, starting 2007-01-01.

Note: The term INVALID in Club Log only means that the QSO is not valid for DXCC.
