Pat, and all,

Now I know why I didn't hear you at Rich Mtn, LOL.  Never checked FT4
late in the test.  Earlier in the day  .... had quite a few runs on FT-4
... it was great to see so many get on the mode for it's speed when Sig
strengths got up higher.  And agree, that return to the slowness of FT8
was almost too much to take!  :>)   But now that the contest is over
.... even packed bands and big Sigs are not driving enough stations to
FT4, it seems.

Work about 30 JAs last night in the opening.  At any given time screen
was scrolling with 25-35 of them.  I did more S&P though, picking up
about 3 grids in JA ... but was mainly looking for HL & BA/BV.  Heard
them and called them off and on -- a lot.  But every time the one loud
HL station would get to solid strength, they'd answer JAs. Couldn't
break through that wall to them.

I've added at least 15 LOTW confirmed new worldwide grids in the last
few days.  Six new DXCC in last week, of which 4 are already CNFMD in
LOTW.  So now up to "99" worked.  But still some serious mail work
needed for some older ones to catch up paper.  I still hope for hitting
100 worked this year, even if confirmations don't happen till much later
in the future.

Steve, W5KI
