[ADXA] KH6 on FT modes.... I was thinking of the old stronger signals on CW and SSB...

OH OH, sorry Steve for my comments. FT8 and FT4 modes MAY can hear during the unusual low signals between E hop conditions like between Florida and Western NA.  We are in the middle of their hops. I was speaking of CW or SSB, SORRY!  FT8 explains all of what you mentioned and Steve Norris said about quick in and out and low signals, tho -4dB ain’t bad..

When working KH6HI, he came out of the noise well, but weak for about 3.5 minutes. Gave him a -4.  He gave me a -16.  Worked at 1741.  He came up just out of the noise again for a couple of sequences at 1750z.  He was on +633. 
Worth listening.  The guys at KG5CCI in Harrison also worked him right after me.
