One thing I have noticed when I work the VP8 on CW they will stick with you
until you get them. Seems every time they come back to me they are in a
fade or QRM is on top of them. They must know this as I have heard them
call the same station up to 6 times. While this may not be so speedy, it
does give the ones in deep QSB, QRM, etc. a chance to get in the log. I
can't imagine what it must be like on their end with these huge pileups!
One of the CW ops likes to jump around with no pattern so far. Chasing him
is usually not the best or trying to figure out his pattern. What I have
seen on RTTY and CW is just go to a clear frequency and wait on him to come
to you. I noticed San was in the nose bleed area on 30m and he got them.
Seems like if they just made a contact on 10.107600 you can just move up 1
KHz and that where they will land in the next few Qs.
Like most, I will tend to follow them up just a little from the last contact
and then notice they have jumped to a new frequency. Sure keeps one on
their toes!
