God I miss some of those old fists with bugs. Nick mentioned NND's CW
note. I still remember some of those fists more than I do the
individual!
Here are some old calls from the late 60's from traffic reports in the
back of QST. Don't recall if they were all OZK ops or not but most of
the traffic counts came from there:
W5OBD, W5NND, W5DTR, W5MJO, WA5PPD, WA5QPI, WA5KEF, WA5BQI, K5TYW,
K5AJM, W5ELF, W5CFA, W5RIT.
Also during that time someone named Robert "D." Schaefer, WA5IIS was the
Section Communication Manager in 1969 after Curtis.......wonder what
ever happened to that guy??? :-)))
I know we have QST on CD and also archived and searchable on the web.
I'm fortunate to have a paper copy of QST going back to January 1932 so
I had to pull out some and start looking. When I do that, I find myself
spending a lot time looking through time......my day is now shot!
